In other news, I've learned for sure that my new Percussion Orchestra piece will definitely be premiered at the Percussive Arts Society Internationl Conference (PASIC) in Indianapolis this November. This is a big deal and very exciting. Does this mean I'll be headed to Indy in a month and a half...?
The Capriccio recording is finally up on the site. Thank you again to Anne Ku for organizing the perfomance and for sending me the excerpt.

Pianists Anne Ku and Carol and Carol Ruiz Gandia were gracious enough to record my four hand work Capriccio after a performance last month in the Netherlands. They did a wonderful job, and I'll upload a clip as soon as my annual progress towards tenure report is off my brain.
Interesting story: Anne sent out a call for scores and selected over 40 for a sight-reading project in Maui and San Francisco. From there, certain pieces were chosen for performance and recording at a salon concert series in the Netherlands. For more info about this project, check out Anne's blog here. She also was kind enough to give my piece a specific write-up, which you can see here. |
